Britney Gets a Lighter with Five Finger Discount!

Though she certainly has the ability to buy whatever she wants, for some reason, Britney Spears decided to steal a disposable lighter from a gas station last night -- and brag about it to the cameras!

The popwreck spent most of her day driving the paparazzi around in circles. When she decided to stop at a Van Nuys gas station for some gum, she doubled back for a lighter -- and just snatched it off a display. Gimme dis lighter!

We'd like to say Britney "forgot" to pay for it, but then she turned to the cameras and yelled, "I stole something. Oh, I'm bad. Ohhhhh!"

33. It's her whole attitude...she thinks she is so cool. She is oblivious to what people think of her. If I worked there, I would have run out, got her license plate number and called the cops. Stealing is stealing. Then it could be used in the custody case. She is a moron, and needs to be out of those poor babies lives.

34. Why would someone worth zillions & zillions (according to her looney fans-both of them) use a cheap plastic lighter? At least a Colibri,if not a Dunhill? Of course,this is the fashion plate that clomps around in brown boots while carrying a white bag....festooned with cheap,obvious weave while short hair ( Beckham/Cruise/Hilton) is now the trend. Hows' the CD she so heavily promoted doing?

The fact that they need to put a pic or video on their sites of her doing mundane things like buying a lighter, a cup of starbucks or filling up on gas is pathetic.

38. you can't get her license plate number she doesn't have one, just dealer tags which is all she ever has on her cars.
